Tax Increment Districts (TIF Districts)

Tax Increment District #4 – American Eagle Drive

The Village established Tax Increment District (TID) #4 in 2015 to encourage further development in the area around American Eagle Drive and the I-41/STH 60 interchange. This area is planned for a mix of residential and commercial development.

Tax Increment District #6 – Downtown

The Village created Tax Increment District #6 in 2021 to support reinvestment in downtown Slinger and support it as a vibrant community gathering space. The TIF can support the rehabilitation of existing buildings, public infrastructure improvements, developer incentives for redevelopment of vacant or underutilized parcels, Ice Age Trail and streetscaping improvements, and development of public gathering spaces. The Village seeks to add new mixed use development in the downtown, particularly new entertainment, dining, small businesses, and housing.

Tax Increment District #8 – I-41 Interchange

The Village created Tax Increment District #8 in 2023 to encourage development of the large vacant parcels south of the I-41/STH 60 interchange. This is a Mixed Use District, the site is planned for regional mixed use development with commercial, business park, and independent senior living. Many development parcels have great access and visibility from I-41 and STH 60.
