Residential Building Permits

ATTENTION NEW HOME BUILDERS!

Beginning January 2, 2018, all new single and two family Wisconsin Uniform Building Permits must be filed electronically with the State of Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS).

To access the DSPS website, go to www.dsps.wi.gov

After electronically filing with the State, you may submit to the inspection office 3 copies of the building plans, 3 copies of the lot survey, the heat loss calculations, the braced wall worksheet, a copy of the Wisconsin Uniform Building permit application that was submitted electronically and the documents listed in "The Building Packet for New Home Construction".

Once the final review has been completed by our office and the permit has been paid for, we will send notification to the State that the permit has been issued.  The state will then send you an acknowledgment that the permit has been successfully filed and is complete.

If you have any questions, please call SAFEbuilt at 262-420-4732 or email WIinspections@safebuilt.com
