It is the mission of the Slinger Police Department to provide an environment of stability and security to the citizens of the Village of Slinger and all other individuals that are at anytime within the boundaries of the Village. Department personnel will enforce Federal, State and Village laws and will perform functions designated by the Constitution of the United States, Wisconsin State Statutes and Village Ordinances.
Slinger Police Department is located at 300 Slinger Road and serves the Village of Slinger 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Department consists of a Chief of Police, Captain, Lieutenant, a Detective/Investigator, and nine sworn officers. We also have an administrative staff of two and six crossing guards.
Slinger has a population of 6575 (2024 census).

The hours for our administrative office are Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm, closed weekends and holidays. Open records requests may generally be made during these times. The Slinger Police Department offers a variety of services to the Village:
Patrol
The Patrol Division monitors traffic for violations, handles accident reports, citizen complaints and a wide variety of services as necessary for the safety and welfare of those in our community.
Investigation
The officers of the Slinger Police Department handle the investigation of all crimes reported to our agency and in our jurisdiction. Those requiring significant follow-up or are more sensitive in nature may be assigned to our Detective after the initial report is taken. The department is proud of the high solvency rate for clearing crimes.
Crime Prevention/Safety Programs
The department is involved in several community events including but not limited to, speeches within our school system, National Night Out, annual Citizen Academy, bicycle safety, and interaction with students through our school resource officer.
Public Safety Cadets
Slinger Police Cadet Unit - 1869 is overseen by members of the Slinger Police Department, partnering with Public Safety Cadets and dedicated to preparing young adults, ages 14 - 20, for careers and leadership in public safety professions.
