The Village of Slinger implements a vast array of programs and policies to encourage the economic health and development of our community. These include our Redevelopment Authority (RDA) which has created Redevelopment District #2 to focus on the redevelopment and improvement of the Village's traditional downtown area. Tax Increment Districts (TID) #4, #5 and #6 provide economic assistance in selected locations throughout the Village.
Our Facade and Building Improvement Program is another RDA effort that provides direct assistance to downtown property owners who wish to make repairs or improvements to their property. The Village has been successful in obtaining a Community Development Investment (CDI) grant through the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation that supported a major redevelopment project for a local business, and we have the capacity for this type of grant in the future.
